Cancellation & Refund

Cancellation Policy

International Motor Sports Limited may cancel the whole event, a single day or an individual stage:-

1. where so directed by the police or emergency services, other appropriate authorities or their respective servants or agents; or
2. in any emergency or other exceptional circumstances beyond the reasonable control of International Motor Sports Limited.
In the event of cancellation, refunds of tickets purchased will be paid in the following circumstances:
a) Cancellation of the whole event prior to the start of the first competitive car at Shakedown - full refund for all ticket types.
b) Cancellation of a whole day's stages prior to the start of the first competitive car on the first run at the first stage - full refund for that day's forest passes and single stage tickets only.
c) Cancellation of any individual stage prior to the start of the first competitive car on the first run of any individual stage - full refund of the single stage tickets only.
d) Cancellation thereafter - no refund.
Competitor entry fees will be refunded in full in the case of the rally not taking place.

International Motor Sports will use reasonable efforts to communicate such alteration of the event schedule to Ticket Purchasers and to Ticket Arena. As soon as possible after International Motor Sports becomes aware of the cancellation of the whole or any part of the event, all available information will be posted on www.walesrallygb.com, via the commentators at selected stages and on social media. In addition, Ticket Arena will use reasonable endeavours to notify Advanced Ticket Holders and Box Office Purchasers of the cancellation by email and/or phone. We do not guarantee that Ticket Purchasers will be informed of such cancellation before the start of the event.

To obtain a refund, the Ticket Purchaser should follow the procedure below:

Refund Procedure

All refund requests must be received no later than 31st October 2018.

Advance tickets and tickets purchased at any 'Box Office' location

All refunds will be processed by Ticket Arena on behalf of International Motor Sports Limited. Please refer to their refund terms and conditions: http://www.ticketarena.co.uk/terms/index.html.

Tickets purchased on the day in any car park location

2018 FAQs

When and where does the Rally take place?

Thursday 4th - Sunday 7th October based in north Wales and Cheshire with many of the venues easily accessible from England.

What's the difference between the days - Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday?

Each day features action in different areas.
Shakedown (the final prep for the cars) and the Visit Conwy Tir Prince stage happen on Thursday, both based in north Wales.
Friday's action take place in the north Wales forests of Brenig, Alwen and Penmachno as well as the new stage at Slate Mountain, home to Zip World.
On Saturday it's all based around the Llanidloes / Aberystwyth area in mid Wales.
Sunday morning takes in two stages in Snowdonia then finishes with a blast around the Great Orme and onto the streets of Llandudno.

What would I see?

The world's best cars and drivers on the limit, as well as a whole field of more than 100 rally cars. You will typically see approximately 200 cars in competitive action at any one place during the day.

Where can I see the cars and stars for free?

Regroup in Newtown on Saturday
Great Orme and Llandudno street stage and Ceremonial Finish on Sunday
Rally Village at Deeside open Thursday, Friday and Saturday

How long does it last?

The action can last all day, but you are able to leave at any time. The WRC cars come through at 2 minute intervals and do most stages twice, while a separate National Rally will visit the stages on Friday and Saturday too, so you will see lots of action.

Which stage is best for children?

All children under 16 go free (excluding Tir Prince Paddock area, Rally Xtra venues and Llandudno Grandstands). The obvious choices for families will be: Visit Conwy Tir Prince on Thursday, Slate Mountain on Friday, Sweet Lamb Hafren on Saturday and the Great Orme Llandudno street stage on Sunday.

What is the Rally Village?

Located in Deeside, the Rally Village is where all the competing crews are based - in motor racing terms, it's the event's buzzing pits and paddock complex. Admission is free and fans of all ages can watch as the teams prepare their cars for the action in the fearsome forests. There's lots more to enjoy in the Rally Village too, with driver interviews, food outlets, trade stalls and entertainment.
